This is a series of monotype prints created as a personal reflection. Extinction Sickness: Dreams of the End, the title of the series, is a reference to a number of dreams I have had about the end of human existence. Individuals pieces within the series are untitled, and the series contains a triptych and a diptych. All of these prints are multi-layered oils on hand torn BFK paper.
This a CMYK process screen print. I converted a photograph I took into its process gradients and then printed them. The screen printing process brought an ethereality to the foggy morning.
This a black and white monotype in oil on hand torn BFK paper.
This was a series of prints that were created with impressions made into the plate by running it through the press. The green is from the final edition. The darker black is an artist’s proof from the first layer. The lighter black is a ghost print from the first layer.
This is an edition of five prints capturing the bloom of naked lady lilies. These are linoleum block prints in oil on hand torn BFK paper.
This is a five color screen print on BFK hand torn paper. Using my own digital art, I manipulated the emulsion on the screen as it hardened to create a more dynamic background.
This is a monotype print. In this work I was exploring color, text, and form relationships in an effort to create a balanced composition.
This is a linoleum reduction print. This is one of the few times I have worked with water-based block ink. After initial sketching, I built this design digitally to properly plan out the reduction process. The design was informed by the work of Koloman Moser.
This is a collaborative poem and print typeset for a printmaker’s gallery. It was printed on a Vandercook press.
